Volunteer Opportunities

We at KIPP Colorado Schools are always grateful for the generous gift of time from members of our community.  Volunteer opportunities include:

Tutoring:  From 4:00 - 5:30pm daily.  Assist our students who are in need of extra academic support as they strengthen academic skills, complete their homework, and studying for exams.

Saturday School:  Ten Saturdays per year, 5th and 6th grade students at KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy participate in enrichment classes as a part of KIPP's Saturday School programming.  Volunteer instructors are needed to help students engage in a variety of activities, including but not limited to yoga, chess, distance running, intuitive thinking, architecture, robotics, computer programming, dance, art, and music.

Internship Hosts: Each summer, alumni will be eager to explore their academic and professional interests. Students can gain invaluable insights on their career interests by shadowing and working alongside adults in the workplace. By hosting a student in your business, you will coordinate functional projects for a student, as well as providing frank and practical feedback on professional skills such as attire, punctuality, time management, and initiative. Six week summer internships take place in June - August.

Administrative Support: KIPP Colorado Schoos' Central Office provide development, human resources, and financial management support to schools and requires a high level of organization, paper/data management, and coordination with parents and families. Especially in the fall and winter, there are ample opportunities to contribute to the school by providing administrative support.

Donations: We welcome in-kind donations including books, computers, and other school-related supplies. Additionally, even small monetary donations can make a big difference to help bridge the gap between a family's income and the costs for books and tuition associated with attending private and parochial high schools.
